So how did it feel to make the cover of Men's Fitness last year?Being on the cover of Men's Fitness was a real accomplishment for me. I try to set goals for myself in the industry, and I said within 1 year I hope to land a cover of a fitness publication. It was approximately 1 year from when I first started modeling that I did indeed land the cover of the May 2005 issue of Men's Fitness. I was very proud of myself and knew my hard work and determination paid off.
Was it a goal of yours when you started to fitness train?
If you would have asked me 5 or 6 years ago if I would have ever thought to be on a cover of a magazine, I would have answered "no." As I started to get serious with nutrition and health (sophomore year of college), I then began to train hard and aim to become a fitness model and hopefully get into the magazines.Why do ya think the gay guys like you so much?
I would guess and say possibly my overall looks (face, body, etc.) but also my personality. My goal is to try to create the perfect body, and I think many gay men can respect my hard work and commitment. They also want to achieve that body and overall look as well. I am very outgoing, friendly, respectful to others, regardless their sexuality.
So how did you come to develop your abs routine at www.absbyjoey.com?
I actually always have been really helpful when people asked me for advice and training tips, so I thought I would take it to the next level and \ncreate this website. My site is an online personal training program where I offer customized workout routines, diet routines, abs, cardio, etc. My rates are great and I just feel that I can also help people achieve their ideal body.
What's so interesting about myspace? Myspace is a great way to network. You can talk with other models, photographers, musicians, artists, etc. I have had many photographers interested in setting up shoots and various projects with me. Also, because of my training site www.absbyjoey.com, many nutrition people and health buffs also want to team up for possible projects. One other thing is there are tons of people from all over the world on there, and you can find friends or make new ones. I have been in contact with people who I haven't seen in years.
What's next for you?
What's next for me? I would like to continue modeling and hopefully land a few more covers, but I also have many other things I would like to do in my life. I may actually get into the stock market or engage in some big construction projects with my father and his associates. I do feel that whatever I do get in to, I will never give up the fitness training and living a happy and healthy life.

How do you keep warm during an Upstate New York winter?I either keep myself warm by my goose down duvet or when it is really cold my boyfriend is like a heater and I cuddle with him. He keeps me really warm.
What is it about Myspace that's so interesting?
I think myspace is so interesting because it's a great way to network and meet other interesting people. I love looking at peoples profiles and finding out I went to highschool or college with them. It's also a great way to keep intouch with friends all around the world.
Who's in your top eight?
All of the people you see in my top eight are some of the most important people in my life today. They have been there for me through everything and I love them very much. So let me just say, thanks guys and I love you very much!
So what's next, after college?
I'm currently enrolled in college and am studying Business Administration (Marketing & Mgt.). I have two more semsters and then I will have completed my BS. in Business. After college I plan on either moving to New York City or Los Angeles to puruse an acting career. I've always had this burning desire to be an entertainer since I was a little boy and want to see if I can conquer my dream. So if any producers or casting directors are looking for actors or extras, let me know.
What kind of guy makes you do a second-take? The guys that make me take a second look are tall, dark, and handsome men. My heart especially melts for men of Italian or Spanish descent. Most importantly I'm very attracted to guys who are true to themselves and who set themselves apart from the rest of the crowd.
Are you lookin' for love?
Sorry guys but I have found love and am very happy in a relationship. I meet him seven months ago at a private party and we have been together ever since. The most funniest part of the relationship is when we met. To make a long story short, lets just say I got a little wet.
If you had to choose:
The Emancipation of Mimi or Confessions on a Dancefloor?
I think both icons are amazing and have worked very hard to get where they are today. I love both there albums and am a very avid listener of these amazing females. But if I had to choose, It would be Mariah Carey. I can definitely relate to her album and have related to her songs in the past.

Admit it. How many times did you play The Pussycat Dolls "Don'tcha" as you got ready to go out last summer...
To be honest with you I never realy liked that song but the women in the video are gorgous.
First time you caught yourself dancing in your room...what song was it?
I can't even remember the first time I ever danced in my room, I've done it so many times. I love to dance and have a good time. Recently I've been dancing to Kelly Clarkson's new CD, she is an amazing entertainer and one of the first raw artists I've seen in awhile.
You knew you were gay when...
I knew I was gay when I started to find the male body attractive. It was probably about 9th grade in high school.

Okay. So you're in college, what's next for you?Yea I am currently in school majoring in business with a track in marketing. As for what's next I am hoping to get into a career as a real estate agent, or perhaps insurance representative.
You were once a pole vaulter, right? Did you train for that in high school?
Yes, I pole vaulted in high school as well as played hockey (which was my majoor sport) and football. I trained year round for them all. In the pole vault my highest jump was 15ft 3in.
Are you looking to break into modeling fulltime?
As for breaking into modeling fulltime.... I would really like to but am not out there really pushing for it to happen. If opportunities come along I'd pursue it, however if those opportunities don't happen, I will still feel happy with my life.
Are you more Details than GQ?
Definitely more GQ.

Mens Health for sure.

hmmm.... tough one, but maybe I might go with People on this one, but don't really read either.
What's the last book you read?
Last book i read was "killer Poker" by John Vorhaus

Umm... a lot of rap above anything else, and some techno.
What would a gay buddy of yours say about you?Umm... lol, all of my gay friends usually have a lot of very nice things to say, but I think the nicest is that I'm just me, I'm myself and an original and just go with it.
What would your girlfriend say is the thing she likes best about you?
Oh man, as for what my girlfriend would say is my best feature.... She would probally say personality and how I can always make her smile.
What's the most romantic thing you've done for your girlfriend?
One day she was getting home from her Knightingales [hockey cheerleader] practice, after a long day. When she walked in the door I escorted her up to a hot, bubble bath, glass of wine and told her that dinner would be ready in 15 minutes. then we ate a candle-lit dinner. It was pretty cool.
And she's done for you?
ummm.... haha I can't really think of nething at the moment
Lastly who spends more time in the mirror getting ready; you or your girl?
As for who spends more time in the mirror... Hands down her. I'm more of a just throw on some comfortable clothes and go right out.
